The CEREGMIA (Université des Antilles et de la Guyane) is the first university department in Caribbean to be equipped with the new technology of Robot Scanner with the DL-mini.

CEREGMIA department has set up a book digitalization platform using the complete solution provided by 4DigitalBooks and composed by the latest technology of Robot Scanner, the DL-mini, the ultimate treatment software Page Improver and ABBYY OCR for text recognition.

This move follows CEREGMIA and UAG longstanding collaboration with Cyberlibris which gave birth to Elibris (uag.cyberlibris.com), the largest digital library currently in use by a French University.

A close partnership has been established between the CEREGMIA and 4DigitalBooks to cover Caribbean digitalization needs and to be able to offer a unique Caribbean digitalization service and IT service for hosting and online access to collection of books and administrative documents.

4DigitalBooks will provide the technology and 10 years of digitization know-how to CEREGMIA team, to assist them doing the job in Caribbean rather than shipping originals abroad.
